Thomas, sisters Terry Beacher, Deirdre Jordan, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Curtis was a brother, loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to everyone.
Curtis aka Butch was a retired master plumper for the New York City Transit Authority, during this time he was a first responder of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He spent countless hours on the pile with Search & Rescue and helped piece the city back together one day at a time.
Curtis loved spending his retirement with his family and all his many grandchildren. Going on cruises, camping trips, hunting, barbequing, and all-day shopping excursions were some of his most cherished family activities. He had a great respect and admiration for those who served our country and always made sure to show it. Whether it was shaking their hands or just anonymously paying for their meal. He never missed an opportunity to say, “Thank you for your service.”.
Curtis was greatly loved and respected, he was never too busy to lend a helping hand or to lend a sympathetic ear. His amazing sense of humor was always sure to have you laughing while in his presence. He truly was an incredible person. We are all the better for having known him and having shared our lives with him.
