

Douglas A. Williams of Salisbury Mills, NY passed away April 18, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Barbara J. Terwilliger Williams who survives him at home. Doug was a retired Operating Engineer for Local 825. He was a very talented self taught carver, mostly water fowl and birds. He won many ribbons and awards for his carvings, which were at state and national carving shows and competitions. He was a true outdoors man and also enjoyed boating with his wife on the Hudson River. He was a member of the Newburgh Yacht Club. Anyone who met Doug became an instant friend. Doug was a very loving and caring man who will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Augusta Williams and Ann Arcuri Williams and stepdaughter, Jodi Lynn LaSala. He is also survived by his stepson Robert Gayton, Jr.; sisters, Ann Buckmaster and Beatrice and her husband Charles Rice; brothers, Charlie and his wife Kimberly Williams and Gus and his wife Cherie Williams; sisters-in-law, Doris Alsdorf, Bernice Alsdorf, Patricia Reach and Dorothy and her husband Kenneth Forman; also a brother-in-law, DennisTerwilliger as well as several nieces and nephews. Cremation is Private and all friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service which will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 2pm at New Windsor Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 25 Beaks Road, New Windsor, NY 12553. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Doug's name to St. Jude Children's Research Tribute Program, PO 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
