

Ed was born on November 20, 1939 in the Bronx to the late Jack and Anna Richter. He graduated from William Howard Taft High School, and attended Brooklyn Community College. Ed was a hard working and successful businessman who most recently owned and operated ESR Mechanical.
Ed was a unique and unforgettable man, who was known for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and walks on the beach. He was active locally and served as a children’s soccer coach. Ed had his own unique sense of style, he enjoyed talking with loved ones over a beer or glass of wine, and was a devout fan of the Yankees and Giants. Ed will remain a source of strength and inspiration to his family and friends. His sister, Sandy Feilich preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Claudia Dunn; his loving children: Sara Robinson of Hillsdale, NJ, Andrea Krivo of Dallas, TX, Sam Richter of the Bronx, Caitlin Richter and Elliott Richter of Washingtonville, NY; grandchildren: Eric and Alex Robinson and Trey Krivo; and many dear cousins and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ed's doctors and the staff at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital for their outstanding love, care and service. Friends may call on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home.
