

Eileen Mary Beck, age 85, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026. Born on February 10, 1941, in Manhattan New York City, New York, she lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her community, and her work.
Eileen was a devoted employee of Alleghany Energy Inc. for 25 years. She spent 21 years at the company’s corporate headquarters in New York and later continued her service for four years in Hagerstown, Maryland. During her distinguished career, she rose to the position of Corporate Secretary, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues in both New York and Hagerstown.
Outside of her professional life, Eileen was deeply devoted to her faith and committed to helping others. She was actively involved with Habitat for Humanity since 1997, contributing her time and boundless energy to support those in need. She also found great joy in boating on the Long Island Sound and cherished her summers at her family home in Center Moriches, Long Island.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Paul E. Beck and Joan (Canton) Beck; her brothers, Martin and Paul Beck; and her sisters, Patricia Heffner and Virginia Beck. She is lovingly remembered with great affection by her many nieces and nephews. Eileen lived with tremendous energy, drive and determination. She had both unlimited compassion and desire to help all around her as well as an incisive mind and sly, sharp wit. She was treasured and loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Douglas Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Boulevard North, Hagerstown, Maryland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Church, 1525 Oak Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland.
Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 322 West Lamar Street, Americus, GA 31709.
Eileen will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
