She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. Testa. Elda was the loving mother of her late daughter Mary Soehnlein and surviving son, Sal. Cherished mother-in-law of Henry Soehnlein. Devoted grandmother of Mark and Joann and great-grandmother to Kaitlyn and Samantha.
Elda was all about family and couldn’t do enough for them. She was also a terrific baker and the whole neighborhood eagerly anticipated getting a platter of her assorted Christmas cookies.
The wake is Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, N.Y. Mass is 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Church. Internment is at Calvary Cemetery in Queens.
