Hak Soon "Holly" Dolson

Hak Soon (Holly) Dolson, age 87, of Montgomery, New York passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Holly was born on January 10, 1937 in Kyonggi-do, South Korea. Holly and her husband, Reginald, met in Seoul, South Korea and married on November 13, 1961. Holly was a devoted wife and mother of four sons. Holly was a strong and fearless woman that was the result of her life experiences which included living through the Japanese occupation of Korea and the Korean War. Holly's sole focus has always been the well-being and caring of her sons as they globe-trotted around the world as a military family. Holly and Reginald settled down in Montgomery after Reginald retired from the Military. In Montgomery, Holly's continued focus was her sons, which eventually grew to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was always the simple pleasures of life that brought Holly the greatest joy. She loved gardening, cooking for the family and playing with the little ones. Her lessons were always simple, "Have fun" and "Be good to each other".

Holly is survived by her husband Reginald, her sons Roger Dolson and wife Christine of Pinebush, NY, Robert Dolson and his wife Janet of Spanish Springs, NV, Richard Dolson of Montgomery, NY and Ken Dolson and his wife Linda of Walden, NY; grandchildren James Dolson, Daniel Dolson, Theresa Dolson and husband Eric, Amie Andideeo and husband Brendan, Lance Dolson and wife Mariah, all from NY, Brandon Dolson of California, Kodi Dolson of Virginia, David Phillips and wife Sara of Connecticut, great grandchildren Teagan, Owen, Jackson, William, Sebastian, Maverick, and Arthur and numerous nieces and nephews.

Holly was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and one sister, all of South Korea.

A visitation for Hak Soon will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A prayer service will occur Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A burial will occur Monday, November 4, 2024 at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, New York 10924.
