Irene M. Shaw

Irene M. Shaw left us on August 7, 2015. She was a longtime resident of Chester, NY, to join the love of her life Jimmy. Irene was born in Hell’s Kitchen, in NYC. Irene was the daughter of the late Raymond and May Lyons. She was the widow of James J. Shaw. Irene attended Washington Irving High School in NYC. She worked as an Operator for NY Telephone Company in NYC. Irene was a member of St. Mary’s Church, where she wed the love of her life James on September 11, 1965.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Shaw, Chester, NY; a brother Thomas Lyons and his wife Linda, of Salisbury Mills, NY, as well as many Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Irene was predeceased by her brothers Terrence and Raymond Lyons Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, 2015 from 8:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Chapel, Washingtonville, NY and Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery also of Washingtonville, NY.
