Jean M. Marr

She was born in Southhampton, England on July 24, 1934 to James P. Simpson and Beatrice Shillabeer.

Jean was a retired waitress in Rockland for many years, who loved spending time with her family. She loved gardening, sewing, reading and swimming. As a child growing up in England she won numerous medals for swimming. Jean also loved her scratch off lottery tickets.

She is survived by her children, Julie and her husband, Sam Rollo of Washingtonville, Laura and husband, Dino Mavrogiannis of Montgomery, Michele and husband, Rick Gabrielson of Congers, NY, Christine and husband, Nick Volikas of Nesconset, NY; sisters, Mae Farminer and Winnie Medway both of Vancouver, Canada; grandchildren: Derek Rollo and fiancé, Kelly Baron, Lisa and husband, Frank Cirigliano, Eric and wife, Staci Gabrielson, Jeffrey and wife, Tara Gabrielson, David Gabrielson, Kelly Garrity, Alex and Steve Mavrogiannis, John, James and Catherine Volikas; great grandchildren, Samantha and Ryan and many nieces, nephews and cousins; also her beloved dog, Missy. Jean was predeceased by her brother, Tony Simpson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. A service will be held at 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation will be private.
