Joann Mazza

Joann Mazza of Washingtonville, entered into rest on Friday, July 30, 2010, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 57.

The daughter of Frederick Mazza and Anne Marie Verrone, she was born March 19, 1953 in the Bronx.

Joann was a System Analyst for Equitable Life. An avid N.Y. Yankees fan, she lived life for her beloved nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her sister, Donna and her husband, Joseph Discepolo of Washingtonville; brothers, Fred Mazza and his wife, Joan of Montgomery, Vincent Mazza of Monroe, and Paul Mazza of Chester; three nieces: Kaitlyn, Dina and Jacquelyn; two nephews, Anthony and Vincent, and her extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., Monday, August 2, at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
