Karen Lynn Dawson

Karen was born in Cornwall, NY on April 16, 1965 to Robert and Marjorie (Caven) Dawson.

Karen served in the United States Air Force from 1992 to 2008 where she served in Desert Storm and retired as a Master Sargent. She earned her Master’s Degree from Mount St. Mary’s College in Newburgh, NY. Karen was a member of the Military Controllers Association of the U.S.A., the Ladies Auxiliary of Salisbury Mills Fire Company, the American Legion in Adams, NY as well as the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood, NY and was Chairman of the Finance Committee in Edgewood as well.

Karen is survived by her mother, Marjorie Dawson of Edgewood, MD; brothers, Rudy Keller of Middletown, NY and Billy Keller and his wife, Bonnie of Watertown, NY; sister, Christine Michetti and her husband, Tony of Newburgh, NY; uncle, Bill Caven of Salisbury Mills, NY; as well as good friends George Wontz his wife, Carol also of Salisbury Mills, NY as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a great-nephew. She is predeceased by her father, Robert Dawson and one brother, Mark Keller.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 22nd at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY. A Mass at of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 23rd at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Presbyterian Cemetery in Cornwall, NY.
