Michel Pierre Battikha, a resident of Campbell Hall, NY, passed away on December 29, 2023. He was 82 years old. Michel was born on June 6, 1941 in Aleppo, Syria to the late Antoine and Henriette (Meramo) Battikha. Before his retirement, Michel was the owner of M&M Superette in Staten Island, NY.
He is survived by his wife Gisele, son Anthony Battikha, son Peter Battikha and his wife, Christina Battikha, daughter Christie Gassler, grandchildren Michaela Gassler, Alex Gassler, Nicholas Battikha, and Adrian Battikha, and his siblings, Mary (Mimo) Kaimeh, Emelda Boulos, and Jean Battikha.
He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Odile Mekel, George Battikha, and Sr. Catherine Battikha.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 5th from 9am-11:30am at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, January 5th at 12pm at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY 10992. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 2 Fr. Tierney Circle. Washingtonville, NY 10992.
