Norma Blanchette

Norma Y. Blanchette (Pelletier), age 87, of Cornwall, New York, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, on Ash Wednesday. A woman filled with faith and deep love for her cherished family, she lived her life devoted to both.

She was the beloved wife of the late Allen G. Blanchette, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

Norma was born on May 22, 1938, in Eagle Lake, Maine, one of thirteen children born to the late Phydime and Nathalie Pelletier.

She enjoyed knitting, completing puzzles, playing bingo and watching television. Norma was also a former proprietor of Goshen Plaza Liquors (now Goshen Wine & Spirits).

Norma is survived by her loving sons: Marc and his wife, Betty Ann; Keith Blanchette and his fiancée, Joann McGuinness; and Jamie and his wife, Teresa. She was a proud Memere to her five grandchildren: Jessica (Mike), Eddie, Brandi, Matt (Somer), and Katie (Scott), and a cherished great-grandmother to Amari and Aubrianna.

She is also survived by her sisters, Bernadette (Elmer) Levesque, Margaret (Adrian) Castonguay, and Lucille Morin; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Pelletier, Frieda Pelletier, and Cindi Pelletier; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents Phydime and Nathalie; her parents-in-law, Addie and Anita Blanchette; her sisters-in-law, Lola Norton, Betty Pelletier, and Doris Pelletier; her brothers, Roland, Norman, Fred, Patrick, Phydime, Paul, and Jay; and her sisters, Theresa Soucy and Bertha Tardie.

Visitation will be held at Ferguson Funeral Home in Washingtonville on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10am to 12pm. The interment is to be held privately by the family at a later date.

She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.

A memorial visitation will be held at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, located at 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY, 10992, on March 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. A memorial service will follow at the same venue from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
