

Patricia Alma “Pat” Johnson, age 85 of Washingtonville, NY, entered into heavenly rest on January 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on June 29, 1939, to Alfred and Sophie (Lasser) Conklin, she was a longtime resident of Salisbury Mills, NY, and a graduate of Washingtonville Senior High School.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Johnson, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2015. Together, they built a large, loving family that she cherished deeply.
Pat faithfully served her community throughout her life. She worked for many years as a mail carrier, delivering not just mail but also her warm smile and cheerful demeanor to neighbors along her route. Pat was a volunteer member of the Blooming Grove Ambulance Corp. She was a life member of the Salisbury Mills Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, serving as President and historian. Pat was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, where she was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Pat is survived by her children: Robert Johnson and his wife, Karen; Karen Woerdeman and her husband, Daniel; Edward Thomas Johnson and his wife, Denise; and Mark Johnson and his wife, Teri. She was the devoted grandmother of nine: Jennifer (Richard) Feiss, Stephanie (Patrick) Coffee, Erik Johnson, Kevin Woerdeman, Kenneth Johnson, Nina (Eric) Vargas, Hannah Johnson, Devin (Chiaki Kyo) Johnson, and Brogan Johnson. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Rebekah and Leiv Feiss, Fionn and Róisín Coffee, Noah Woerdeman, and Elena Vargas. Her loving sisters Vicki (Gerald) Cimorelli and Jean (Joel) Siegel, sister-in-law Agnes Hulse, nieces, nephew and cousins.
Family was the cornerstone of Pat’s life. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, cooking lots of delicious food, and creating joyful memories filled with laughter. Pat would travel near and far to be present at her families’ graduations, concerts, recitals, sporting events, weddings, and birthdays. Always showing love and pride for all.
A visitation for Patricia will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, January 20, 2025 at 9:00 AM at St Mary's Church, 42 Goshen Ave, Washingtonville, New York 10992. A burial will occur Monday, January 20, 2025 at St Mary's Cemetery, 2 Fr Tierney Circle, Washingtonville, New York 10992.
