

Pauline Cohen (nee Kutler), 88, died peacefully in her home in Oak Park on September 26. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she worked for many years as an office manager in a physicians’ practice, before retiring to Toms River, NJ, with her husband Martin, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. In 2009, she moved to Oak Park, IL, to live near her daughter, and fully enjoyed her life at Brookdale Senior Living, spending happy times with family and friends and participating in the many activities she loved. She is survived by her daughter Annette Cohen (Gregg Kitzis) of Oak Park, IL; grandsons Ralph Rivera (Desiree Rivera) of Monroe, NY, Mathew Rivera of Liberty, NY, Lee Kitzis (Anna Marosi) of Chicago, IL, and Daniel Kitzis of Chicago, IL; granddaughters Marissa Rivera of Yonkers, NY, and Lauren Irwin of Liberty, NY; great-grandchildren Giovanni Rivera and Marques Martin Fields; and brother Joseph Kutler. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin and her daughters Ilene (Cohen) Rivera and Ellen Cohen. Pauline Cohen will be buried next to her husband Martin Cohen on Wednesday, September 30 at 11:30am in B’Nai Israel Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ.
