

Clarence G. Hebert, 85, died Sunday Dec. 16th 2012 at his home with his family by his side.
Clarence was born in Waterville, May 7th 1927 to William J. and Eleanor (Plourde) Hebert.
He attended Waterville schools graduating in 1945 and immediately enlisted in the Navy serving for the duration of WWII. He was a floral designer at Flo’s Greenhouses for 21 years and Superintendant of St. Francis Catholic Cemetery for 22 years. Throughout his working years he also was a bookkeeper for many local small businesses and prepared income taxes for individuals. Clarence played hockey for the Brothers of Christian Instruction and Waterville High School. He was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Waterville Federal Credit Union for 41 years serving as its President for many years. He was a member of the St. Francis School Guild, a lector and usher at the former St. Francis de Sales Parish and served on the parish council. Clarence was a member of the Maine Cemetery Association serving as its President; he was also a member of the Catholic Cemetery Conference. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. Clarence took great pride in his wife and children.
Clarence was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Theresa Howe.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Jeannette (Cyr) Hebert and their five children; Bonnie DuPerry and husband Lee of Waterville, Mike Hebert and wife Deb of Oakland, Kathy Libby and husband Lew of Norridgewock, Denise Costello of Bangor, and Fred Hebert of Bloomfield, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grand children.
The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support, especially Hospice and Healthreach for their kindness and care of Clarence during his last days.
Visiting hours will be held from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Thursday December 20, 2012 at Veilleux Funeral Home 8 Elm Street Waterville, Maine 04901. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Friday December 21, 2012 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Silver Street Waterville, Maine. Memorial donations may be made in Clarence’s memory to St. Francis Catholic Cemetery P.O. 575 Waterville, ME 04901.
