

AUGUSTA – Everard B. Nadeau, 83, passed away with his family by his side on Monday November 23, 2015 at the Maine General Alfond Center in Augusta. He was born on December 4, 1931 in New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Honore and Elizabeth (Lang) Nadeau.
Everard was at his Brother’s wedding where he met a woman by the name of Jeannette A. (Laroche). They began dating and later married on October 3, 1953, and shared 62 years together. He and his wife bought a farm together in Winslow, where they enjoyed spending time together. Everard was one of 17 brothers and sisters. He was a 4th Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus, where he was a member for 52 years. He was a logger for his Uncle Rene Levesque for 4 years, and after that he began working for Scott Paper where he stayed 40 loyal years. Everard liked to fish at his camp on China Lake during both the summer and winter seasons. He was always happy to travel and visit the ocean and was very fond of his Bluegrass music. He always looked forward to hunting with his son, Steven and his grandsons. The woods were his second home.
Everard is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette A.; sons Steven and wife Cathy of Winslow, and Gary and F. Van Orman of Winslow; grandchildren Kevin of Boulder, Colorado and Glen and his wife Ivy Nadeau of Colorado Springs, Colorado

A visitation will be held on Friday November 27, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Veilleux Funeral Home at 8 Elm St. in Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 28, 2015 at 11am at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Silver St. in Waterville. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery on Grove St. in Waterville.
