Mamie Bernadette Ouellette

Waterville - Mamie Bernadette Ouellette 78, died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 21, 2015 at the Alfond Center for Health. She was born in Grand Isle on January 25, 1937 to Isadore and Elise (Levesque) Ouellette. She worked for 17 years at the John Urns Chicken Farm as a foreman, as well as the Lipman's Poultry, leaving there to become caregiver for Yvette Pelotte.

Mamie loved playing Beano every Sunday and will be sadly missed by all her friends she had there. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, attending Notre Dame church.

Surviving are her companion of over 60 years, Fanado J. Pelotte; two step sons, Linwood Pelotte and his wife Linda and Raymond Pelotte and his wife Barbara; Five step grandchildren, Tim Pelotte, Irene Richards, Tony Pelotte, Stephanie Nielson and Matthew Pelotte; Seven step great grandchildren, Cody Pelotte, Shawna Pelotte, Jake Stenson, Trevor Pelotte, Lucas Pelotte, Kylie Nielson and Gabrielle Pelotte; Six siblings, Gerald Ouellette of Oklahoma, Jeanne Cyr and Roger Ouellette both of Florida, Lorraine Ouellette, Jacqueline Mitchell and Lorette Ouellette, all of Maine, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held 4 -7 pm Monday, May 25 at Veilleux Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 AM Tuesday, May 26 at Notre Dame Church. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
