

William E. Pasha (Bill) died peacefully on November 12, 2010 in Naples, Florida with his family surrounding him. He was born July 28, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan. He was pre-deceased by his wife Maxine Pasha, father Edwin A. Pasha and mother Marian Burgess Pasha.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Cecile B. Pasha, three dear children, Carol Anne Runnion, Mary Jo MacLaughlin, and William C. Pasha, as well as their spouses William Runnion, David MacLaughlin, and Debbie Pasha whom he loved as his own children. Also surviving him are his beloved grandchildren, Mark MacLaughlin and his wife Tracie and Brian Pasha as well as his brother Thomas A. Pasha, and sister Mary Jane Franco. Bill also leaves his loved step children Giselle Birmingham, Paul, Marc, and Luke Gagne and their families.
Bill was a graduate of St. Philip Neri High School and the University of Detroit. He was graduated from the Unites States Maritime Academy as an Engineering Officer and served during World War II on vessels in the North Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea.
For forty years, Bill was employed by Scott Paper Company in various management positions in the U.S. and Canada. He believed in service to his country and community and was honored to serve as President of the National Exchange Clubs in Trenton, Michigan and Waterville, Maine and the International Gyro Club in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Of all of his accomplishments, Bills’s most memorable honor was his service as Commander of Bourque Lanigan Post 5 American Legion in Waterville, Maine.
Visiting hours will be held at Veilleux’s Funeral Home in Waterville on Wednesday, November 17 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8 pm with Ameircan Legion Services to be held at 7 Pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 11 a.m. with internment immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the Bourque Lanigan Post 5 American Legion, Waterville, Maine or to the charity of your choice.
