Christy Ann Rafalko

Christy was the beloved daughter of Robert and Theresa, and a devoted mother to Ashley Thompson (DeAndre), Morgan Schaefer, Aubrey Schaefer, and J.R. Viers. She was a proud and cherished “YaYa” to her grandchildren, Jiraiya and Elliana, who brought her immense joy. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Scott Pierce, Steve Rafalko, and Jeff Rafalko.

A longtime resident of Wayne, Michigan, Christy lived her life with strength, resilience, and a deep sense of love for those around her. She had a passion for University of Michigan football and could often be found cheering them on with enthusiasm. Christy also found freedom and peace riding her motorcycle, enjoying the simple joy of the open road. She had a deep love for all of her animals, especially her two dogs, Roxy and Sophie, who kept her comfortable and busy and were constant companions in her daily life.

Raised in the Catholic faith, Christy carried a strong and enduring love for Jesus throughout her life. Her faith was a source of comfort and guidance, and she held onto it with quiet strength even in difficult times.

Christy was a remarkably strong woman whose spirit touched many lives. Though her passing leaves a profound void, her loved ones take comfort in knowing she is now free from pain and at peace.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Harry J. Will Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m.
