When I was growing up my grandparents were close friends with Betty and David. I  briefly knew their daughters Jennifer and Patricia. Lost touch with them when I was in my teens but they were always nice to me, I went over to their house a few times and I know my grandparents Pearlie and Lewis Smith were very fond of them. RIP sir.

Dave Pace Sr. was a good man. My family and his attended the same church, Wayne Assembly of God, where he was one of the pastors. After he left that church to pastor another, I ran in to him every now and then. He was always a joy to be around. A great man was lost when my dad, Cheerful Lee, went home to be with his Lord on October 2, 2017. Another great man has now joined him, Joe Docusen and others. Good men seem harder to find these days. I trust I'm counted among them. 

I work at the credit union where Mr. Pace did his banking. He was one of my favorite members. He was such a gentle and kind person.  He also would do the typical "dad jokes".  I have missed him since he hadn't been able to come into the credit union. He was loved by us. 
I know he is now full of life and joy being with our Lord Jesus.  



Dave was a dear friend and my sailing buddy! We first met 32 years ago when my family and I moved to Michigan so I could be a prison chaplain. Dave ministered at the prison and we developed a good friendship. He got a sailboat and we enjoyed many afternoons sailing on it. We got to know each other's families. He recommended me to teach at MISOM. He helped me have a great relationship with the network office. He is missed, but the Lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Bro. Dave Pace!  A wonderful man of God who was always a step or 2 ahead of everyone.  About 20 years ago he was our fill in Pastor at Lincoln Park Bethel Assembly of God for at least a couple of years.   He was awesome!  Even after going to help another church, he never forgot our names. Do you know how many names were probably stored in his brain?    He was pure JOY!!

Our condolences to his family. You truly have lost an awesome man, but don’t despair, the reunion in Heaven will be so splendid. He is there now reuniting with his wife and others gone before him who have the Lord in their heart.  If you are an unsaved family member, the best way to pay tribute to him is to give your heart to God and live for God, so that you also will be reunited in Heaven one day.
