

Agnes Pauline (Clark) Ward, 83, formerly of Waynesboro passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Trinity Mission in Charlottesville. She was born on June 23, 1933 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Wildridge Alexander and Rosa (Woods) Clark.
Pauline was a former member of Free Pentecostal Church in Waynesboro. She was devoted to her faith, reading her bible daily. Pauline greatly enjoyed gardening, riding the train, and flying. At the age of 50, she even was in a program to get her pilot licenses, but due to her age had to be a co-pilot instead. Pauline had a heart for taking care of children with disabilities, and she would work with them to be able to grow into productive adults.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Junior Ward and her siblings, Margie Zawhorodny, Joseph T. Clark, and Clarence Clark. Survivors include her sons, Donnie Ward and wife, Diedra and Sheldon Ward and wife, Melanie both of Palmyra; Siblings, Jack Clark of Staunton and Thelma Wiseman of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Terry Jewell officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Irish Creek Community Cemetery in Rockbridge County. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
