Born December 29, 1931 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Filmore and Irene (Back) May.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Henderson Pack, Jr.; daughter, Virginia “Ginger” Moyers; and brother-in-law, Robert L. Pack.
Prior to her retirement, Alice worked as a certified nursing assistant, where she lovingly and tenderly cared for elderly individuals in their homes. Her compassionate nature touched many lives, and her dedication to her work was evident in the thoughtful care she gave to each person she served. Alice’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she cherished deeply. She also had a true passion for playing BINGO and never missed an opportunity to join a game—often dominating multiple cards at once while her family scrambled to keep up. Those who knew Alice will remember her for her wonderful sense of humor, her unwavering devotion to her loved ones, and the kindness she shared so freely with others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Kirby (Donnie) of Bedford, VA and Donna Johnson (Ed) of Mechanicsville, VA; grandchildren, Angela Messer, Dustin Moyers, Susan Morris, Richard Morris, Becky Morris, Michelle Sams, and Matthew Johnson; great-grandchildren, Landon Messer, Emily Messer, Starla Moyers, Mason Moyers, Madison Sams, Ryann Sams, Noah Morris, and Athena Morris; sister-in-law, Leah Pack of Staunton; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Following cremation, all services will be held privately.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro.
