Annie Marie Thompson

Born January 13, 1942 in Fairfield, Va., a daughter of the late Aubrey Edward and Elizabeth Ann (Lunsford) Dedrick.

She was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Thompson, Sr., son, James K. Thompson, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Edna Dedrick.

Survivors include her children, Sharon (Darrell) Estes, Audrey (Mike) Coffey; sister Carolyn (Kevin) Johnson; brothers, James Dedrick, Joe (Pat) Dedrick; grandchildren, Dawn (Adan) Estes, Jeffery (Amanda) Estes, Renea (Derek) Alford; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and one nephew

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens, 1912 Shutterlee Mill Rd., Staunton.

Active pallbearers will be Darrell Estes, Jeffery Estes, Taylor Cash, Adan Mojica, Izack McAllister, Mike Coffey, Derek Alford and Junior Chandler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scarlett Estes, Harper Alford and Waylon Cash.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, Shenandoah Hospice House and to the friends for the continued calls and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Hospice House, 111 Campus Dr., Fishersville, Va. 22939.
