Anthony Kent Via

He was born September 1, 1953 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Vincent Rudolph Jr. and Mary Frances (Hartman) Via.

Tony was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

He was the last member of his immediate family.

Survivors include an uncle, Rodger Via and his wife Judy of Raleigh, N.C., as well as 3 cousins.

Tony could be seen at the Waffle House enjoying a hot cup of coffee with his friends and he never met a stranger.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.

Burial will be private.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the waitresses of the Waynesboro Waffle House for taking care of Tony. The family also wishes to acknowledge and thank Tony's close friend, Suzanne Meeks for her tireless and loving assistance to Tony. Her help was seen and is greatly appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
