Born on September 12, 1950 in Charleston, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Orrin McCory and Artie May (Hancock) Foster. She was blessed to be one of nine children.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and John; two sisters, Darleen and Betty; her lifelong partner, Raymond “Moose” Fridly, Jr.; a son, Merle Floyd Russ, Jr., who she loved and missed dearly; and son-in-law, Curtis Bishop, II.
She is survived by brothers, Bill and Emmett; sisters, Linda and Donna; daughter, Tammy Maybush of Waynesboro; sons, Michael Fridly of Waynesboro, David Foster and wife, Kimberly of Greenville; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
Carol’s children will receive family and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the home of her son, David, 64 Deer Trl., Greenville.
