Carol Spenyovics

Born February 14, 1946 in Long Beach, CA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Marjorie Rice. On November 29, 1969 she married Louis Joseph Spenyovics, III. The two shared 52 years of wonderful marriage.

Carol attended Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church, Waynesboro. Prior to relocating to Virginia, Carol was a longtime member of Altamaha Hall Baptist Church in Baxley, GA. She was a homemaker and alongside her husband lovingly raised three children. She adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol will be remembered for her cooking especially her family’s favorite recipes and her ability to create almost anything from leather.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Survivors include her husband, Louis J. Spenyovics, III of Waynesboro; daughters, Michelle Taylor of Waynesboro and Tracy Goodson and husband, Michael of Augusta County; son, Louis J. Spenyovics, IV of Portsmouth, VA; four grandchildren, Madison Spenyovics, Brooklynn Spenyovics, Katherine Goodson, and Megan Goodson; and brother, Ira Rice and wife, Phyllis of Swansboro, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Riverview Cemetery, 420 Rosser Ave., Waynesboro with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.

There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
