Charles William Anderson

Charles William “Bill” Anderson, 77 of Waynesboro, passed away early on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his residence. He was born August 10, 1943, a son of the late Sidney Herbert and Dorothy Lakin (Robinson) Anderson. Bill graduated from the class of 1962 from Waynesboro High School, was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, retired as Postmaster from the Edinberg Post Office in the spring of 2007. He received multiple awards from the Postal Service during his career. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Sidney H. Anderson, Jr., and Margaret Huffman. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Juanita (Jones) Anderson; sons, Charles A. Anderson and wife, Tracy, Phillip M. Anderson and wife, Becky, daughter, Sheila Freed and husband, Michael; 5 grandchildren, Sarah Freed, Laura Feed, Ella Anderson, Max Anderson and Mary Anderson; 3 step-grandchildren, Livie Meadows, Emma Meadows and Dylan Whetzel. Following cremation, a worship service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, 901 Shenandoah Ave., Waynesboro with Rev. Dr. Paul LaPrevotte officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
