Born March 26, 1929 in Augusta County, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary (Wolfe) Ross.
Prior to retirement, Coralee was employed by Genicom. She was a faithful member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren. In earlier years, she greatly enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Alexander Smith; two sons, Harry Alexander “Butch” Smith, Jr. and Harlan Randolph “Randy” Smith; and siblings, Jimmy Ross, Ray Ross, Jerry Ross, Bill Ross, Lamar Ross and Peggy Fletcher.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jean Smith of Deerfield, VA; grandson, Shane B. Smith and wife, Jasmine, of Harrisonburg; granddaughter, Laura (Smith) Matthews of Wake Forest, NC; five grandchildren, Gracen Ellingson, Piper and Reef Smith, and Adilyn and Emily Matthews; special niece, Mary Kay Ellinger and husband, Steve, of Staunton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Mike Woods officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
