OBITUARIO
David Keith Boswell
2 octubre , 1956 – 10 noviembre , 2020
David Keith Boswell (Boz), 64 of Waynesboro Virginia was called home to heaven on November 10, 2020. He was born on October 2, 1956 in Lynchburg, VA to loving parents Harry (Mokey) Boswell and Nellie Staples Boswell. They both preceded him in death.
He graduated from E.C. Glass High School and attended Ferrum College. Keith enjoyed working as manager of Boonsboro Theatres in Lynchburg and it was there that he met his future wife, Kathryn Parsonage, whom he married on October 9, 1982. He and Kathy were blessed with two wonderful sons, Brian Adam Boswell and Paul Weston (Wes) Boswell and 38 years of marriage.
Keith’s career of over 30 years was in the Industrial Battery Business, most recently with Weldex. His past customers have dubbed him a “Legend” in his field. He enjoyed many years of golfing, camping, kayaking and drumming in bands (huge love of music), being with his friends and taking trips with his family.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, cousins Ronnie, Jimmy, Julian and Danny as well as Kim Boswell, (his wife Hannah, daughter Carrie), Uncle Bobby Boswell and Aunt Kitten as well as nephew Bradley Nichols, (his wife Alli, and daughter Susanna: Grandniece to Keith), Brother in-law Tim Nichols and his wife Sandra.
Our thanks go out to our church family at Finley Memorial Presbyterian Church as well as family, friends and neighbors for all the loving support.
Keith’s family wishes to extend our sincere thank you to his doctors and nurses at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, VA for their non-yielding efforts to save him from the Coronavirus as well as the compassion they have shown to the family.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home but rather a fitting “celebration” of Keith’s life at a future date, not yet determined. Notifications will be sent.

Keith was my first friend in the neighborhood we lived in. He was also the first to call me to ask if I wanted join in the band they were putting together in the neighborhood. We played in several bands together and every one was a blast to play in with Boz. Many years later, my wife and I had a camp on the Greenbrier River. We invited Keith and Jim to come down and spend a weekend. At one point Keith was down by the rivers edge and I watched from the top of the steps. You could almost see what was on his mind. Camping, kayaking, swimming, big Boz just taking it all in. Love that man. Forever in my thoughts. Here’s to you Boz, save a jam session for me.

Family of Keith
Iam so so sorry to hear about Keith passing . My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I know the children will not remember me they were very young. But i worked with Keith when I started in the Battery Buisiness. Keith taught me so much in those years. I was heartbroken to have heard the news . He was full of life and was so much fun to be around.
He will be missed and he was definitely a legend!
Prayers for all of you in this difficult time.

I cannot possibly capture in a few words the magnitude and bountiful decades of joyful memories we shared with Keith, Kathy, Brian and Wes Boswell. Church, worship, mission trips, committee meetings, Men's breakfasts, camping trips, music, baseball games, golf, ACC sports....
I'll never forget a Richmond Braves game we attended....I caught a fly ball and gave it to Wes....his face lit up and he shouted THANKS MR. COBLE!!!!! Keith had a huge smile and slapped my back....
Camping trips - I don't remember all the locations we went....Loft Mountain, Walnut Hills to name a few....
Even when Nancy and I moved away from Stuarts Draft, I'd often text Keith "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" on Oct 5th...
He was a great friend and I loved both he and his family very much....
Peace and Grace to all.....I am grateful to have called Keith my friend....

Prayers to the Boswell Family. I worked with Keith at RRD, then LSC communication. He was more than a battery tech or sales guy.
He was my friend and I will miss him. He was the driver that took us to Dekaville USA in PA many times. We went to UVA baseball and football games and shared a love of sports. He talked about his trips to see family and what all was going on. He had the best attitude and can do spirit. Being around him made you feel better for sure.
My heart goes out to the family,
Todd

Kathy, Brian and Wes, we are so sorry for the loss of your father and Kathy we are so sorry for the loss of your your husband. Boz was very loved by all who knew him, including us, and he was very loving to his friends and to those he did not know. Boz knew how to have a good time on canoe trips for sure. I am blessed to have played on stage with Boz banging on the the drums and me on banjo or guitar and it as was as if Boz would say, "Hideous" I hope that Y'all do find peace with this loss and know that we love you and the your family.

Kathy, Brian and Wes....We are so saddened at the loss of Keith. He was such a funny, happy, laid back guy.... Great neighbor, wonderful musician, kind soul. I always enjoyed passing him and waving while we were on our mowers simultaneously. I know that Brad loved coming over and sharing a drink and chatting to watch the sunsets. We always appreciated your presence at our boy's Graduations, and Scout ceremonies and cherish times spent with you all as dear neighbors and friends. I am heartbroken that we did not share more of these times... but are so grateful to have known Keith. May you all be blessed with Peace and comforted by loving memories.... much love- Deana, Brad, Dalton and Liam Tipler

Boz was and always will be part of our family.
Words alone cannot express the loss of such an amazing friend in my life.
Alex and I send our love and prayers to Kathy, Wes, Brian and the entire Boswell family.
We feel honored to keep Keith’s good nature and helpful spirit with us always.
We have so many great memories of our families being together, including UVA sports, tailgating, golf trips, moonlight lit bonfires and enjoying cold beers at our Sports Emporium. Boz’s chair will remain in his honor. Boz will never be forgotten❤️❤️

There are moments in life where time stands still. One of those moments was at your rehearsal dinner and Keith played a beautiful song for you. The other moment was when I learned of Keith’s passing.
The love you two share is something beautiful, which makes the loss even harder to bear. For you and everybody that was touched by you both.
From darts in the basement to helping each other move to just getting together...life is a better place with Keith in it.
I love you Kathy. XXOO. Mona
