

Born September 22, 1961 in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Raymond Austin and Mary (Brooks) Woodson.
Dennis enjoyed working with nunchucks that Cecil Ratliff taught him and playing 70’s and 80’s rock-n-roll music. He had been employed with Virginia Metalcrafters where he worked for 10 years. Dennis will be remembered by those who knew him as a loving husband, father and brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Eva Campbell; niece, Angel Woodson; friend, Ronnie Fisher; dog Snuggles.
Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Tammy Woodson; children, Dennis Eugene Lotts and wife, Heather, Mary Ann Woodson and fiancé, Jonathan Garber, Lindsie Hall and husband, Aaron and Jacob Woodson and Troy Fisher and “Zacky Mom”; sisters, Peggy Lewis and husband, Charles Gulley, Nancy Woodson and Carolyn Hise and husband, Ray; special granddaughter, Oliva Hall; special nieces and nephews, Tabitha Woodson and fiancé, Gay Patterson, Edward Lewis, Victoria Peters, David Woodson, T.J. Lewis, Becky Marshall and John and Tonya Hise; brothers-in-law, Edward Lewis and David White and wife, Tammy; sisters-in-law, Genia White and Elsie White; great brother-in-law, Cecil Ratliff and wife, Lelsie Welcher; a number of other grandchildren; special friends, Zack Fisher, Noah, Becky, Joe, Geonia, and Tiger Fisher; his best friends who were his cats, Midnight, Brut and Goldie; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
