Born August 22, 1935 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Wirt A. and Ivy (McGann) Hughes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Peggy Thomas, Wirt Hughes and Buck Hughes.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held in Riverview Cemetery. There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
