
She was born April 19, 1926 in Franklin, TN, daughter of Aaron and Nora Pamplin Rutledge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Hartman, proud WWII veteran. She was also preceded by six brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Hartman was a member of the Southern Baptist Church, loved the Lord and enjoyed singing hymns, crocheting and visiting with family.
Survivors include eight children, Marti Phinney of Verona, Guy Hartman of FL, Cindy Matthews and husband Scott of Newport News, Pam Seibert and husband Eddie of FL, Randy Hartman and wife Patricia of Herndon, Rita Christensen and husband Jonathan of Colorado, Ted Hartman and wife Nadene of Herndon, and Dawn Rice of Fishersville; twenty two grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one brother Aaron and a sister Sue, both of Alabama.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30 at Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of her daughter to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1 Morton Dr. #106, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
