

Glenn Bristow, of London and Cambridgeshire, England, passed away suddenly on December 19, 2014, in Waynesboro, Virginia. He was born on June 23, 1948, in Edmonton, England to the late Doris and Mick Bristow.
Glenn had recently moved to Waynesboro with his family from Thomasville, Georgia, where he had lived for 4 years. Prior to that, he had lived in Waddington, New York and Rocky Point, New York. Glenn had retired from Anglian Water in Perry, England after 25 years of service. He had also worked at Lowes in Ogdensburg, New York and Thomasville, Georgia.
Glenn was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and nephew. He was a happy, caring man, who could always be found with a smile on his face. He loved being outdoors, especially in the mountains or at the beach. He loved cycling, walking, art, music, reading, and traveling. Most recently, Glenn enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, granddaughter, Liza, and six dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Bristow, of Waynesboro, Virginia; his son, Simon Bristow and his wife, Bron of Melbourne, Australia; his daughter, Helen Spedding and her husband, Rob of Bath, England; his daughter, Maribeth Simmons and his son, Matthew Simmons, both of Waynesboro, Virginia; his brother, Shane Bristow and his wife, Anna, of London, England; and his mother and father-in-law, Aubrey and Phyllis Phillips of Thomasville, Georgia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Polly, Tom, Harry, Toby, and Liza; in addition to his six dogs – Maggie, Bella, Jake, Emma Gracie, Percy, and Allie, as well as many aunts, cousins, close family, and friends.

A memorial service was held at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes Waynesboro, Virginia. A second memorial service will be held in England at a later date.
