Gloria was born in Massachusetts to Margaret Tanguay and Raymond Tanguay on March 16th, 1945. Gloria will be remembered for her kind and giving nature, being a full time caregiver for her husband prior to his passing, as well as being a very active member of Bridge Church as a greeter, and in their widow and widowers group. Gloria was a friend to all, befriending the family of a fallen service member and continuing that friendship by mail and email for 35 years. She was also very active with the Disabled American Veterans organization, as well as being a volunteer at Augusta Health Hospital and the Waynesboro Library. In her spare time, Gloria enjoyed keeping up with her friends and loved ones on Facebook.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years, Henry J. Mutter; and her brother, Richard Tanguay.
Gloria is survived by her sons, Steven Hanna and wife Rhonda of Myrtle Beach, SC, Thomas Hanna and wife Mary of Chicopee, MA, and daughter Sharyn Bobb and husband Christopher of Farmville, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan Hanna, Julia Hanna, Austin Hanna, Jason Blascak, Madison Blascak, and Christopher Bobb Jr; as well as her brothers, Raymond Tanguay Jr and wife Barbara, Robert Tanguay and wife Joan; sister, Diane Noel; and longtime friend and pen-pal, Kathy Wright.
Per her wishes, following cremation, the family will lay Gloria to rest at Massachusetts National Cemetery, alongside her husband.
