Guy William Hoy

He was born July 22, 1931 a son of the late Lloyd Lee and Willie Ross Hoy.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired from General Electric and Genicom after 31 years of service and attended Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Hoy, three brothers; Austin, James and Aubrey Hoy.

Survivors include his wife Louise Hoy, a daughter, Debbi Hoy, sister, Geraldine Day, sister-in-law Clara Hoy, nieces and nephews; John Hoy and wife Teresa , Mark Day and wife Connie, Marcia Helmick, Mary Lee Akers and husband B.C., great-nieces and nephews; Jonathan, Michael Helmick, Sherri Burns, David Cupp, Jamie Morrison and Carla Henderson.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday March 20, 2014 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes by Pastors Bill Cole and Billy Coffey.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
