Heather Denise (Burkholder) Pace

Mrs. Pace was born on March 10, 1979 in Dansville, NY, and was a daughter of the late Wendell Martin Burkholder, and surviving Robin Lee (Nederfield) Burkholder. Heather attended Greenmonte Fellowship. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She loved going to the beach and camping. Heather was a devoted homeschool teacher to her kids. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers. Heather was proud to carry on the traditions taught to her by her grandmother Gertrude Burkholder.

On Dec. 16, 2000, she married Jason Pace who survives.

In addition to her husband and mother, Heather is survived by her children, Josiah Nathaniel Pace, Adayah Evelyn Pace, Isaiah Jackson Pace, Shannah Lee Pace, Uriah Martin Pace, all of Waynesboro; siblings, Shawn Burkholder and wife Vicki of Stuarts Draft, Stacey Burkholder and wife Sherri of Stuarts Draft, Wendy Mullen of Fishersville, Grant Burkholder of Staunton, numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Shasta Reeves, Cynthia and Danny Sweet, Tracey and Jennifer Smith, and Carleen Nuckols.

Heather was preceded in death by her father, Wendell Martin Burkholder; a son, Jonah Jones; maternal grandparents, John and Mildred Nederfield; and paternal grandparents, Merlin and Gertrude Burkholder.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 17, 2022 at 1 PM at Bridge Christian Church, 1275 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville, VA 22939 with her brother, Pastor Stacey Burkholder officiating. Burial will follow at Springdale Mennonite Church.

There will be no visitation and the casket will remain closed.
