She was born on October 24, 1930, a daughter of the late William Edward and Edna (May) Baber.
Inez was in the first graduating class of Wilson Memorial High School, a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and retired from General Electric.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Todd Hite; brother, James E. “Jim” Baber; and sister, Doris Dabney.
Survivors include her son, Marc Hite of Tyro; brother, Ronnie Baber of Waynesboro; sister, Joy Campbell of Staunton; grandson, Josh Hite, as well as numerous family members.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 55 Round Hill Road, with Revs. Shin Woo Hong and R. Douglas Gunsalus officiating.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
