

Born July 8, 1960 in Waynesboro, he was the son of James Sherwood Davis, Sr. and Frances (Shoemaker) Davis.
Mr. Davis was employed by CareFusion for 13 years where he thoroughly enjoyed his job as a field service technician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served his country honorably. In his spare time, he loved spending time with family, listening to music, watching NASCAR and cheering on the Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Davis and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Noble Shoemaker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Maryann Davis of Hollywood, Md; sons, James Sherwood Davis, III and Jonathan G. Davis both of Hollywood, Md; sister, Kathy (Davis) Ritchie of Waynesboro; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Hannelori Divich of Yuma, Az; as well as special friend, Rich “Mudflap” Delaney of Hollywood, Md.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main Street, with Pastor Greg Mayo officiating.
Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be John Davis, Mike Davis, Jeremy Ritchie, Travis Ritchie, Todd Green and Rich Delaney.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
