

James Hamilton “Cracker” Maybush, 77 of Waynesboro passed away Thursday evening, August 25, 2011 at Avante of Waynesboro.
He was born August 15, 1934 in Staunton, son of the late James William and Barbara Virginia Harlow Maybush.
Cracker enjoyed being with people. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Lillie Virginia Maybush.
Survivors include two sisters, Betty Jean Bennington and Joyce Ann Morris of Waynesboro; three brothers, William Eugene Maybush, Sr. and Ronnie Elwood Maybush of Waynesboro and Lloyd Noland Maybush of Staunton; He is also survived by five nieces, five nephews, a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted at 11:00A.M. Monday, August 29, 2011 in the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Kemper Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Cory Beech, Elizabeth Moore, Barbara, Robert, Richard and William “Putt” Maybush, John and David Johnson,
Honorary pallbearers will be great nieces, nephews, and Roger Bennington, Larry Landram and Todd Lamb.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the funeral home.
