Jeanette Hyden Robertson

Jeanette Hyden Robertson, 78, of Stuarts Draft went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. Born July 15, 1945 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Harry Thomas and Thelma Mae (Hyden) Robertson. Jeanette was a woman of great faith and one of the best prayer warriors. She often prayed for family and friends and how God could use her to bless others' lives through her acts of kindness. Jeanette was a faithful member of Sherando Community Church where she enjoyed being a part of the Women’s Society and singing in the choir. Those who knew and loved her will miss her big heart and deep faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Dean Wilcox and Sylvia and Hunter Lotts; and nephew, H.W. Lotts. Survivors include her brother, Barry Robertson and wife, Sarah of Stuarts Draft; special cousin, David Hyden of Stuarts Draft; four nieces, Jennifer Brooks (Ray), Kristie Johnson (Brian), Debra Moran (Eddie), Melody Hayes (Jeff), and Marsha Lane (John); nephew, Michael Wilcox (Denise); and a number of great nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Sherando United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stuarts Draft. Active pallbearers will be Ray Brooks, Jeremy Colvin, Jerry Moore, Madison Moore, William Moore, and Donnie Massie. Honorary pallbearers will be David Hyden and Jennifer Brooks. The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to the staff of Waynesboro Manor and the staff of the ICU Unit at UVA Medical Center for their love and care of Jeanette.
