Joseph Paul Glick, Jr.

Joseph Paul Glick, Jr., 89, of Waynesboro, Va. passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:00 pm. He was born December 17, 1931, in Richmond, Va. to the late Joseph Paul Glick and Mayte (Burns) Glick of Waynesboro, Va. He worked for 20 years in the carpet industry, holding various positions in carpet manufacturing. Joe settled in Waynesboro in 1974, working in carpet related fields until his retirement in 2008. He was a long time member of Main Street United Methodist Church where he served two terms on the administrative board. Joe loved to spend time golfing, camping and boating. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Fox) Glick; a grandson, Aaron Ketrow; and a step-daughter, Rene Branham. Survivors include two daughters, Dabney Ketrow of Greensboro, NC, and Denise Helsabeck of Chesapeake, VA; two sons, Joseph Glick, III of St. Augustine, FL, and Danny Glick of Greenville, NC; a step-son, Joseph Gary Branham of Florence, SC; two step-daughters, Leann Dowd of Charlotte, NC, and Kelly Branham of Washington, D.C.; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 9:00am until 11:00am at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. A private graveside service will be held at Augusta Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church Food Pantry at 601 W. Main St., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
