Joyce Juanita (Treadway) Chiras, 85, of Waynesboro passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living Center. She was born in Skelton, West Virginia on May 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Clinton and Nettie (Honaker) Treadway.
Joyce worked as a Technical Information Specialist for the United States Government under the Defense Logistics Agency.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis Chiras on October 10, 2016, and a number of siblings.
Survivors include her son, Paul Rich and wife, Jill Waltersdorff-Rich; step-sons, Bobby Chiras and David Chiras; grandchildren, Jennifer Nartic and husband, Jeff, Ashley Messerly, Lillian Busch, and Evan Coryell; great-grandchildren, Nickolas, Alexander, and Kaylee Messerly, Emma Nartic and Sarah Nartic; siblings, Susan Warner and husband, William, Charles “Buddy” Treadway and wife, Ruby, Howard Treadway and Judy Scites and husband, David; as well as extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Burial will be private at Riverview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to services on Sunday at the funeral home.
