Kathy Sue Arey

Kathy was born in Kershaw, South Carolina to Samuel Lee Martin and Virginia Elizabeth Martin on March 6th, 1952. She worked as a line cook for several restaurants, and the Wintergreen Resort for many years. Kathy was always focused on her family and dearly loved her grandsons.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Randolph William Arey.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Sophia Johnson with fiancée Jimmy Bergdorf of Front Royal, and Cindy Sisler of Madison; her grandsons, Charles Johnson with wife Loren, and Dakota Johnson and fiancée Destiny Quick, both of Waynesboro. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Skylar Johnson, Jace Johnson, Maverick Johnson, and ShyAnne Johnson; a sister, Sophia Beth Guyer of Fshersville; and nephews, Christopher Guyer and Chadwick Guyer; a special friend, Mike Stickler; and her fur buddy, Onyx.

Following cremation, the family will hold a memorial service at a later date, which is to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Charles Johnson or Dakota Johnson to help cover the expenses of the funeral services.
