
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James J. Sinclair; children, Leslie Sinclair of Painter, Virginia and J. Jefferson Sinclair, Jr, (Marjorie) of Silver Spring, Maryland; grandchildren, S. Keith Sinclair and Tyler S. Smith. She is also survived by her siblings, Glenna Cantrell, Thomas Pruitt, and Catherine Leonard.
Lou received a Bachelor of Science in Education specializing in Early Childhood Development with a minor in Religion, from Pikeville College in 1968. She taught in the private and public sectors and for ten years in Virginia’s Community College System, where she developed and taught courses in education and child development, as well as dreams, meditation, and energy healing. She also taught complementary healing modalities and spiritual renewal in a non-formal setting. In 1999, Lou earned her Doctor of Divinity in Holistic Theology from the American Institute of Holistic Theology.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Springdale Mennonite Church in Waynesboro, Virginia.
