Lucille Anna Painter

She was born on March 31, 1022 in Crozet, daughter of the late George F. and Mary Lillian Williams Wood.

Mrs. Painter was a member of Fishersville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Painter, sisters, Mae Greet, Nell Mawyer; brothers, Cecil Wood, Clarence Wood and Lurtie Wood.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Taylor and her husband, Donnie of Waynesboro; one son, John W. Painter, Jr. and his wife, Sandi of Waynesboro; one sister, Bernice Bradley of Florida; six grandchildren, Angela White and husband Scott, Andrea Leavell, Amber Painter, John D. Painter, A. Dean Patton and wife Rebecca, Steven Painter and wife Chrissy and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Augusta Memorial Park, with Pastor Steve Parker officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 05, 2011, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West Main Street.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

The family would like to give special thanks to Caroline and Charline Robinson for their loving care.
