

Mary Belle (Jarvis) Fox, 88, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at her home. She was born in Rockbridge County on July 25, 1934, a daughter of the late Howard N. and Mary Katherine (Phillips) Jarvis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Earl L. Fox; siblings, Annie Jarvis Ramsey, William Jarvis and Edward Jarvis; son, David L. Fox; and daughter-in-law, Roxann Fox.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Bowersox and husband, Jimmy, of Crimora; son, Earl Michael Fox of Lyndhurst; eight grandchildren, James Hewitt, Mark Hewitt, Andrea Fry, Brent Fox, Michelle Fox, Eric Fox, John Bowersox and Heather Bowersox; 12 great-grandchildren; three great- great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mary was an avid reader, loved to sew, and cook for friends and family. She retired from Genicom. She was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church in Waynesboro and also attended Mountain Top Christian Church, Love.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for all of their loving care in the last few weeks.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at the funeral home with Pastor Lori Valentine de Segovia officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Oak Hill United Methodist Church, c/o 152 Sunset Drive, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
