Mary Virginia (Wiseman) Harner, 77, of Waynesboro passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Augusta Health. She was born in Augusta County on February 5, 1941, a daughter of the late Gaines Sylvester and Edna (Kirby) Wiseman.
Mary was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mary greatly enjoyed crocheting, cooking, traveling in their RV, and spending time living in Florida. She will be remembered for her loving and giving heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Michael Harner and her daughter-in-law, Jackie Harner.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, John Berkley Harner, Sr.; children, John Berkley Harner, Jr. and Deborah Virginia Harner and wife, Kristin Selzer; sister, Jean Wine; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Rev. Tim Bohlmann officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Alden Wiseman, Scott Wine, Steve Wine, Ricky Pearl,George Coyner and Dale Rexrode.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the funeral home.
