Mary Lucy "Ninny" Mize

She was on born July 5, 1922, in Waynesboro, daughter of the late Hyden M. and Sadie Virginia Snead Thompson.

Mrs. Mize was retired from Stanley Furniture.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Samuel Mize, Sr., one daughter, Barbara Cromer, a son, Joseph Samuel Mize, Jr. and a great-great-granddaughter, Anjalene Johnson.

Survivors include her children, Zane Mize of Stuarts Draft, and Patricia M. Kelly of Waynesboro; son-in-law, Nyal Cromer; grandchildren, Robyn Harman, Lynn Anderson, Penny Kelly, David Mize, Shannon Mize, Tony Mize and Dixie Mize; great grandchildren, Jeremy Hillworth, Christopher Hillworth, Lucas Harman, Kelly Mize, Chelsea Johnson, Corey Johnson, Silina Mize, Masin Patterson and Autumn Mize; great-great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bethany and Emma Hillworth, Corwin Harman and Ashton Johnson.

A service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West Main Street, with Pastors Jonathan King and Judy King officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Hillworth, Christopher Hillworth, Lucas Harman, David Mize, Jr., Hal Anderson and Mike Fisher.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the funeral home.
