

Meredith was a fourth grader at Guy K. Stump Elementary in Stuarts Draft where she was on the Honor Roll and involved with the drama club. She was a member at First Baptist Church, Waynesboro, and participated in the activities of the Children's Ministries. Meredith belonged to Girl Scout Troop #497 and played softball for the Sherando Cavaliers. She enjoyed hiking, crafts, soccer, and loved music and dancing. She adored animals and had a deep love for horses. Meredith had a big heart and a beautiful smile that was contagious. She loved her family and friends.
In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by her brother, Zachary Lewis Furr; paternal grandparents, Jim and Mary Furr of Waynesboro; maternal grandparents, Walt Wright of Moneta, Renee Erikson of Boyne City, MI and Candy and Wayne Brumbaugh of Staunton; maternal great grandparents, Richard and Barbara Wheeler of Boyne City, MI and Jack Fraley of Boyne City, MI; paternal aunt, Rene Grady of Purcellville; maternal aunt, Tonya Jackson and husband, John of Staunton; maternal uncle, Chris Adams and wife, Amanda of Colorado Springs, CO; cousins, Alison, Skyler, Robert, Dillon, Nicole, Daniel, Anthony, Isaac, Isabelle and Aiden; as well as numerous great aunts and uncles, second cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Wayne Ave., Waynesboro, with Pastor Barrett Owen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the church. The casket will remain closed.
