My name is Amanda Morrison, Mike was my supervisor about 15 years ago at the RACSB. He was good-humored and always kind. I appreciated his care and service toward people who have disabilities. To his family, please accept my condolences.

God bless you Mike. I am so blessed for having the pleasure of knowing you and working for you.You may be gone but will forever live in my heart.

You will be greatly missed Mike.Thank you so much for everything that you did for me and all of the clients throughout the years. Rest in peace Mike.

Words cannot do justice to how i felt about Mike. Mike was always there to greet me with nothing but kindness, professionalism all while making our workplace fun. Mike was always so excited to see the clients and would always take the time out of his busy schedule to talk with them and let them know how appreciated they were. Mike was one of the most kind hearted and compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am so thankful for having the priviledge of knowing him and working for him. I will never forget all of our talks and wonderful memories. Rest in peace Mike.

Mike was such a kind, compassionate and loving man. I enjoyed my encounters working with him. He was always smiling and had the most positive attitude. Prayers sent to his family for comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Mike was a warm and loving man, with a heart of gold that he shared with all with whom he lived and worked. Prayers for comfort go out to his family.

We are sorry to learn of Mike's passing. After reading the obituary and others comments, we learned of Mike's life since high school. That he was a most compassionate and caring man. We send our prayers for comfort to his family and friends.

Mike was a kind, wonderful person.  He was the rare individual who actually listened when people talked.  There is no doubt he was called to be in the profession he spent his life in.  I consider my life to be much richer for having known him.

Mike was one of the most compassionate and empathetic people I have ever known. He had a heart of gold. I admired him and respected him so much for his committment to providing excellent services to those he served. There was never any doubt in anyone's mind that Mike Smith truely cared about each person he served while working as CSS Director for Rockbridge Area Community Services. He knew every individual by name and ALWAYS took the time to talk to them and listen to anything they wanted to tell him. I have never known anyone quite like him and I dare say I probably never will. I'll never forget the day I came into work and found out one of our program participants had passed away. I immediatly called Mike and we cried together as we shared our grief over losing our beloved friend. Mike Smith was a giant among men. He will live forever in my heart and I will never forget the lessons he taught me. God Bless his family and friends now and in the days to come.

It is way too early to be called home, but his quality of life was not was Mike was about. May he RIP forever.

So sorry to learn of Mike's passing.  He was a classmate and dear friend.  Many great memories.  R.I.P.  Mike and Paula Ross

We were part of the Elva Street Brat Pack.  I am so worry that he has left us but know it was to a better place.  To his wife and children, sisters and brothers, I offer my condolences.  He was a good man.

I was very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He spent many hours at my house during his early years in high school and I have many fond memories of this time. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

We were very sorry to learn of Mike's passing.  He and Diane were boyfriend and girlfriend in the early years of high school and we all remained friends over the years.  It was always a treat to encounter Mike on his visits home and we want you to know we share in your sadness at his leaving us.  May he rest in peace and may God bless you at this time of grief.

A heart of gold stopped beating, two shining eyes shut to rest. Our hearts broke today when God called home one of the very best. 

Mike you made a great impact on my life as you did so many. I am lucky to have known and worked for you. You truly were one of the good guys. Spread your wings and fly Mike. You will be missed by so many.
